Floatface is a lifestyle change for people who want an extra dimension of sleep. It enables the existing stomach sleeper a new level of comfort, providing excellent alignment of the neck and upper back, with the face resting in a well cushioned face cradle. Floatface also delivers a new option for side and back sleepers, providing additional comfort and bed space with that all important 3rd dimension of sleep. Possibly you may have been a stomach sleeper in the past, but gave up due to neck, back or shoulder pain, or a doctor’s recommendation?

Floatface also works with gravity for people who snore and potentially those with mild Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Sleeping on your back, or to some extent your side, allows the soft palette, tongue and tonsil’s to move backwards and restrict your airways. Neck neutral stomach sleeping, using the Floatface sleep systems, potentially may allows gravity to keep the airway open, allowing greater oxygen flow into your lungs and CO2 out!

Currently for stomach sleepers, the only available options for a good night’s sleep and chronic neck pain relief is a stomach sleeper pillow! But, how many of these pillows have you tried?

So what’s wrong with your existing Stomach Sleeper Pillow?

If you’re currently using a stomach sleeper pillow or have done in the past, then you already know of their limitations. When assessing pillows for stomach sleepers there’s basically 2 options…

  • Type 1: pillows have you lying on your stomach with your head on a pillow, with your face pointing either left or right. Type 1 style pillows are for stomach (or prone) sleepers trying to alleviate the issue of where to put your hands and arms. They typically have various channels and cut-outs to place your arm, but they completely miss the fact that your face, and therefore neck, is still twisted at an angle. RESULT: it fixes your numb (dead) arm symptom, but you still have the issue of you neck and upper spine being misaligned.
  • Type 2: pillows aligns your neck well and has you face down in a hollowed out long wedge. The issue here is you face gets squashed into a hollowed out area, plus the wedge continues downward from your head through your shoulders and down to you mid-section. So effectively your face and torso are angled upwards on the wedge, conveniently allowing space for the face to fit above the mattress. RESULT: your upper body is now angled upwards relative to your lower body, which introduces stress into your lower back, replacing chronic neck and upper back pain for lower back pain instead.

If you feel your stomach sleeper pillow isn’t delivering the comfort and good spine alignment you deserve and would like to try out an alternative then please complete our survey. You’ll then be contacted periodically concerning progress with the Floatface development and will be the first to hear where and when it can be purchased. Your questionnaire comments will also be used to tailor the Floatface 3D sleep system to your needs.
